oh the weather outside is...awesome?

so finally done with finals week. it's also finally snowing here and accumulating which makes the city look fantastic. pictures are soon too follow (once i venture outside with during the day).

final reviews week is here and I have till Friday to finish everything.

Luckily after that I'll be enjoying the holiday season in NYC and be able to actually take pictures to add to my blog which I'm sure will make things more interesting as opposed to the short mediocre posts that make up almost my entire blog

i am back home for thanksgiving. michelle and evan surprised me by showing up at the airport. finally got a haircut. got myself a motorola droid (which im using to make this post). hung out with evan and shanna at pochi's. and now im relaxin at home. its been an eventful day

the weekend so far

well its getting down to crunch time so i'm not expecting to have much free time,

but...

this weekend has been good so far
yesterday: open bar, saw mr. bellding (from saved by the bell) at that bar
today: ohio state victory

also, wednesday I'm going home, Thursday celebrating thanksgiving/christmas, and hanging out with my friends that are still in cbus

now it's time to meet the neighbors, go to McSorely's, and see where the night takes me

so mid review last week and midterm earlier today, free time aplenty now

mid-review

we had our mid-review today which means last night I had my first all nighter (that was school related).

i'm still not sleeping yet for some reason and there is a girl (one of my roommates work friends) throwing up her innards in our bathroom.

This should be an interesting weekend.

Lombardi's

last night went to the brooklyn brewery which is a pretty cool place.

today, went to Lombardi's (after a disappointing football game). Apparently its America's first pizzeria and is by far one of the best pizza's I've had.

nothing special going on I guess, but this is gonna be a busy week with school.

and so insomnia strikes again

well maybe not insomnia, just a poor nap taking decision.

it's been an eventful/fun weekend though.

Friday night our friend came into town and we went to a comedy club call the Upright Citizens Brigade which was pretty fun then hit up the bars.

Saturday I booked flight back home for thanksgiving, ate at a place called Caracas which served Venezuelan food (which I don't think I had ever had before) which was probably the best meal I have had in New York and for only $15. Hung out with some friends on their roof (which I am still jealous that we don't have access to ours) then met up with another friend who was in town from jersey.

And today, instead of going into studio and working, I chose to go to a bar and get all you can eat wings (my fingers still smell like the sauce), plenty of beer, and watch football. After that I went into food coma mode, woke up at 8:30 and now I can't sleep.

psh...grad school

had our first critique thurday. seemed pretty easy going compared to knowlton, but then again none of us really had a project. as a side note, the first review that I was actually able to hear everything going on.

meh

It's been pretty boring because of school and I find myself more excited for the weekend than I used to be. Good thing this weekend has 3-days because of Yom Kippur.

so apparently there is this big italian festival called san gennaro that is gonna be outside my apartment for 10 days...this should be interesting


btw, the free refill daiquiris available at the festival are not worth it due to the fact that they were probably the most vile thing i have ever drank

labor day weekend

first week of classes went pretty well
managed to go out three nights this three day weekend
new york has been fun

back to school, back to school...

first day of graduate level classes. nothing special, just listened to people talk and chose which studio i wanted.

I decided to also be productive and go down to our site which just so happens to be only a few blocks from our apartment

new shoes

got some shoes today, feels like I'm back in grade school again getting a new pair of shoes for the new school year...hehehe

newcard

got my "newcard" today so i finally have a student ID. It's also much more awesome than the buck I.D. because it can be used to open little security "turnstiles" without even having to swipe it.

finally got blinds for my window so now the entire apartment complex can't see into my room.

also finally took some pictures in the city (not looking through the viewfinder though) so we'll see how those turned out

IZ HAD NO FOODZ

well I went grocery shopping for the first time in New York at Trader Joe's. Good food , good prices, and I found out my messenger bag can hold about a weeks worth of food.

Nothing really special, just thought I'd mention it.

apparently I don't even need to leave my apartment to see cool stuff in new york

atm there is some type of film crew at the cafe across the street. what they're filming i dunno, but this is definitely not something i ever so happening in columbus

Day 3

Bed arrived today which means I have more space and will get a good nights sleep.

Also put together a wardrobe from Ikea so I have a place for my clothing other than a box.

And I've spent the rest of the day organizing my room.

I'll take pictures of the apartment once everything is neat and tidy, which should be the end of the night for my room.

The Only Living Boy In New York

Just got to my apartment and unloaded everything and stealing internet from the neighbors atm.

Finally all moved out of my apartment on campus and now I have to get down to sorting what I need and what I don't. New leaving date is Saturday (Aug.15). Moving in on Sunday. Hopefully everthing goes smoothly.

apparently I'm not very good at saying goodbye. this ended up being sadder than I expected.

New York bound Aug. 14th

So we (and by we I mean my other two roommates) just signed the lease for our place in New York.

Got a nice large Timbuk2 messenger bag for the daily commute.

...and ordered a lens that is more expensive than my camera. It's bound to take some stellar pics.

Looks like I'm ready for New York.
